비즈니스 데이터 플랫폼 기업 쿠콘(대표 김종현)은 지역 생활 커뮤니티 당근마켓의 자회사 당근페이(대표 김재현)의 간편 송금·결제 서비스 구축을 지원했다고 밝혔다.

당근페이는 당근마켓 중고 거래 시 송금 편의성을 높이고 당근마켓 내 각종 생활 편의 서비스를 이용할 때 쉽고 편리하게 결제할 수 있는 간편 송금·결제 서비스다. 2021년 11월 제주에서 첫선을 보인 당근페이는 2월 14일 전국 서비스로 확대 오픈했다.

당근페이는 현금을 준비해야 하거나 계좌 이체가 필요한 중고 거래의 불편함을 해소할 수 있는 간편 송금 서비스다. 비밀번호만 등록하면 언제든지 편리한 서비스 이용이 가능하다. 구매자는 따로 은행, 송금 앱을 사용할 필요 없이 당근 채팅에서 실시간으로 송금할 수 있으며, 판매자는 채팅 화면에서 송금 결과를 즉시 확인할 수 있다. 또 채팅방에 마련된 송금 기능으로만 이용할 수 있어 가짜 결제 페이지를 통한 어뷰징, 사기 피해도 예방할 수 있다.

쿠콘의 계좌 간편 결제 서비스가 탑재된 당근페이는 이용자의 은행 계좌를 등록해 이용하면 된다. 쿠콘은 당근페이에 연동하는 은행 계좌 등록, 입출금을 위한 프로세스 등 당근페이가 빠르고 안전하게 구축될 수 있도록 기술적 지원을 제공하고 있다.

이번 당근페이 기술 지원 외에도 쿠콘은 맞춤형 간편 결제 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 결제, 충전, 환불을 한 번에 할 수 있는 ‘차이페이’, 홈쇼핑에 특화된 ‘24시간 현금 결제’ 기능을 탑재한 홈앤쇼핑의 ‘팡팡페이’ 등이 있다.

현재 쿠콘의 결제 서비스를 도입한 고객사로는 △KB국민카드 △라이나생명 △한화자산운용 △NHN페이코 △차이코퍼레이션 등이 있다. 금융 기관, 카드사, 보험사, 핀테크 기업 등 다양한 업권 내 많은 기업과 협업이 이어지고 있다.
